Experience, Trust, and Genuine Connections
For almost four decades, we’ve been bringing students to Ireland — and building friendships that last a lifetime.
Interline English is the Irish branch of Junior English 2000, a Spanish educational organisation that began organising trips to Ireland in 1985.
Since then, thousands of students have travelled to Ireland through our programmes to improve their English, experience Irish life, and discover the warmth of Irish hospitality.
Over the years, we’ve built strong, lasting relationships with families, schools, and local communities — especially in Waterford, Tramore, and Dublin.
Many of our host families have been welcoming students with us for over 10, 15, even 20 years.
In 2017, we created Interline English to strengthen our presence in Ireland and offer even better support to the families who make our programmes possible.
Our team in Ireland works hand in hand with Junior English 2000 in Spain to ensure smooth communication, careful student placement, and continuous local assistance.
We believe that real language learning and cultural understanding happen through people — through sharing daily life, laughter, and traditions.
That’s why we take time to know our families personally and to match each student with the right home.
“Our priority has always been the wellbeing of the student and the satisfaction of the family — both must feel comfortable, supported, and part of something meaningful.”
With nearly 40 years of experience, our mission remains the same:
to connect students and families through trust, care, and genuine cultural exchange.
OUR LOCATIONS
Nearly 50 Years of Experience Connecting Students with Ireland
Our story began in 1975, when our founder Joseph Patrick Arthurs organised his first educational trips abroad for small groups of students. Ten years later, in 1985, he founded an Spanish Academy of English JUNIOR ENGLISH 2000 and he continued bringing students specifically to Malahide, beginning what would become a long and cherished relationship with Ireland.
From Malahide to Tramore & Waterford
For many years, Malahide was at the heart of our Irish programmes.
Then, around 25 years ago, Joseph Patrick expanded the programme to Tramore, attracted by its strong community spirit, welcoming families, and safe coastal environment.
The move was so successful that Tramore and Waterford became our permanent base in Ireland.
Today, these areas continue to be the core of our summer programmes, with many local families who have hosted with us for years.
To provide meaningful cultural immersion programmes built on trust, experience, and strong relationships with local Irish families.
